Hazardous waste disposal in Colorado Springs
Old fridges and dead TVs carried out and hauled off in Colorado Springs.
Freon fridges, bald tires and dead TVs are what Justin hauls off on a hazardous waste disposal pickup for Junkernaut Junk Removal, in Colorado Springs or anywhere out in the Pikes Peak region. Call or text (719) 246-8422 for a price. On this job the pile is the stuff people hesitate to set out with regular junk. That means a fridge or freezer that still holds freon, a stack of old tires, a dead flat screen TV or a box of old electronics. Justin takes those. Real hazardous waste he leaves behind. The list is below.
Most of these calls come from homeowners clearing a garage or a basement where an old chest freezer has sat unplugged for years. Property managers call too, after a tenant leaves tires and a busted TV behind in a unit. Justin carries it all out of the garage or basement himself. If the rest of the garage is going too, his garage clean out service covers that bigger job, and the freezer can ride along in the same load.
Mention the gas can on the call, since that one stays behind. Justin started the business in 2026, so the person who takes that call is the person who decides what rides on the truck. If the tires are stacked behind the shed or the TV sits on a stand in the den, say so then too. Justin has 5.0 stars from 34 Google reviews.

What lands on the truck for this job
Hazardous waste disposal with Justin is narrower than the name sounds. It covers appliances that run on freon, old tires, flat screen TVs and other electronics. Regular junk can ride along on the same trip, but the reason people book this service is usually one heavy, awkward thing they were not sure anyone would take.
Think of the fridge in the basement that quit two summers ago, the window AC unit pulled out of a back bedroom, four bald tires behind the shed, or the old TV and computer tower stacked in a hall closet. Those go on the truck. A chest freezer from the garage counts the same as the fridge. Justin's item-by-item list of what he hauls covers the regular junk that can share the load.
The hazardous items Justin turns down
Some things stay where they are. Justin will not take propane tanks, asbestos, medical or biohazard waste, or fuel, and hazardous waste in general is refused. That rules out the grill tank on the patio and the half-full gas can by the mower. Sharps and anything soiled with bodily fluids stay too.
Plenty of garages hold both kinds of item on the same shelf. If the pile mixes refused items in with the fridge and the tires, set them off to one side or mention them on the call. Justin loads everything he can take and leaves those behind, so the job still gets done and the rest of the space clears out. Knowing about them ahead of time also keeps him from quoting room in the trailer for things that are not going.
How Justin gets a freezer up the basement stairs
Justin carries every item out from where it sits. A chest freezer in the basement comes up the stairs with him. A fridge in the kitchen goes out through whichever door it fits. A window AC unit comes out of the back bedroom the same way. Tires come straight out of the shed or the side yard, and the TV comes off the wall stand in the den. Nothing needs to be pulled to the driveway ahead of time.
He shows up inside a two-hour arrival window. At a rental, the manager can let him in to the unit where the tenant left the tires and the dead TV. A fridge or chest freezer needs a clear path to the door, so move the boxes stacked in front of it. Tight basement stairs are fine. Just tell him about them on the call.
Where the fridge and the rest of the load end up
Each piece of the load goes to its own stop. Scrap metal from the garage heads to a metal recycler here in Colorado Springs. Whatever is plain trash ends up at East Landfill, Midway Landfill or the El Paso County transfer station. Justin picks up freon appliances and tires in Fountain, Falcon, Monument, Peyton, Manitou Springs and Security-Widefield as well as Colorado Springs, and each of those towns has a page on his rundown of Pikes Peak towns where he picks up.
Anything still usable gets a different trip. If a mini fridge still runs, Justin offers it to Goodwill, Arc or Habitat for Humanity before any landfill sees it.
What a freon fridge and a set of tires cost
A pickup like this has a $225 minimum, and past that the number grows with how much of the truck the fridge, the tires and everything else fill up. His carrying, the drive and the drop-off all sit inside that single price, which stays put once everything is loaded.
Two add-ons fit this kind of job. Each tire is +$10, and anything with freon is +$40 each. The third one Justin lists is a mattress or box spring at +$40 each. A load with a dead fridge in it carries the freon add-on on top of the load price, and the tires get counted one by one. A fridge and a chest freezer in the same load count as two freon items. The quote itself is free.
