Justin does yard waste removal for houses in Colorado Springs and the towns around it in the Pikes Peak region. He prices the job and does the hauling himself. Call or text (719) 246-8422 to get a price. Think limbs from a tree you had trimmed, bags of fall leaves, or a roll of old sod from a lawn that came out. It's bulky and it gets heavy when it's wet, and the trash cart won't hold much of it.

Homeowners call after a weekend of trimming leaves a pile by the back fence. Others call after a bigger project, like tearing out a lawn or clearing an overgrown side yard that nobody touched for a few years. Property managers call when a rental turns over and the yard is full of brush and broken pots. If you want to see how Justin sizes up a pile before you call, the junk removal cost guide for Colorado Springs lays it out.

Justin is open 24/7 and works in a two-hour arrival window. He can come out same day, most days, so a pile from a weekend of trimming doesn't have to sit on the lawn. He clears yards from Monument down to Fountain, out east in Falcon and Peyton, over in Manitou Springs and Security-Widefield, and all over Colorado Springs. The list of towns he drives to shows every place on his route.

From the full list of what goes on the truck: yard waste.

What ends up in a yard waste pile

A yard pile is mostly green and brown stuff. Tree limbs and brush after a trim. Bags of leaves raked up in the fall. Grass clippings, pulled weeds and shrubs that died over the winter. Old sod rolled up after a lawn came out for rock or a patio. Most of it is loose and spread out along a fence or behind a shed.

The pile almost never stays just plants. A rotted planter box shows up in it, or a cracked plastic pot, a broken patio chair, a stack of old pavers or a couple of tires that sat behind the shed for years. Justin takes those on the same trip, so you don't have to sort the yard into separate jobs. When the garage is just as packed as the yard, garage clean out work can go on the same truck.

What hauling a yard pile costs

The minimum is $225. Above that, Justin gives you a single price for the whole pile, based on the space it fills in the trailer. Brush is the tricky part of a yard job. Loose branches take up a lot more room than the same weight of bagged leaves, so a pile that looks small on the lawn can take more room in the trailer than you'd guess. Limbs cut shorter and stacked tight take less room.

That price covers carrying the pile out, the drive and the dump, and you won't see a separate dump fee. Once the pile is loaded, the number doesn't change. Old tires pulled out of the yard are +$10 each. Pay him with Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, Google Pay, Apple Pay, a credit or debit card, cash or a check.

How Justin clears a backyard pile

Leave the pile right where it is. Justin walks back to where the pile sits, even down a narrow side yard, and carries it out to the Ford F-150 himself. Bags go on first, then the loose brush gets stacked so the load packs tight. Wet sod and old pavers come out by hand, a few at a time. Heavy pieces are worth mentioning on the call, like a stack of pavers or a few rolls of wet sod, so Justin knows what he's loading.

When a manager books the job for a rental, tell Justin how to get into the yard, like a gate code or which side gate is unlocked, and he'll work from that. The same goes for a homeowner who won't be there. Point him to the pile and the way out. Call or text (719) 246-8422 with the address and a rough idea of the size.

What stays out of a yard load

A yard cleanup turns up a few things Justin won't haul. The common one is the propane tank off an old grill. He doesn't take propane tanks, so set it aside before he gets there. The grill itself can still go once the tank is off. Fuel stays behind too. That means the gas can in the shed, and the gasoline sitting in an old mower or trimmer needs to come out before that machine goes on the truck.

Asbestos is refused, which is worth thinking about if old shed panels or siding scraps are part of the pile and you don't know what they're made of. Medical or biohazard waste is refused as well. Hazardous waste in general doesn't go on the truck, so the half-empty jugs and cans from the back of the shed stay. If you're not sure about something, ask Justin when you call for the price.

Where the branches and leaves end up

Yard debris that nobody can reuse gets dropped at East Landfill or Midway Landfill, or at the El Paso County transfer station.

The other things mixed into the pile get a different stop. Old fence wire, a rusted wheelbarrow and a dead grill's frame are metal, and those go to a metal recycler in Colorado Springs. Old pavers, border blocks and other brick or concrete get recycled at a recycling center. Patio furniture or yard tools still in good shape go to donation first, with the Arc, Goodwill and Habitat for Humanity. A dead TV or old electronics pulled out of the shed can go on the same trip as the yard pile.

How the price works

Call or text (719) 246-8422. Justin looks at how much room it takes on the truck and gives you one number for the whole job. The number doesn't change once it's loaded. Jobs start at $225. The only add-ons: tire +$10, anything with freon +$40, mattress or box spring +$40. More on how pricing works.

Questions

Questions about yard waste removal.

How much does yard waste removal cost?
The minimum is $225. Above that, it's one price for the pile based on the space it takes in the trailer, and the loading, the drive and the disposal are all part of it. The add-on that tends to show up in a yard is an old tire, at +$10 each.
Do I need to bag the leaves or drag the pile to the curb?
No. Justin carries the pile out from where it sits, bagged or loose. Bagged leaves pack tighter on the truck, so bagging them keeps the load smaller.
Will Justin take the old grill but not the propane tank?
Yes, the grill can go but the propane tank can't. Propane tanks and fuel are both on the list Justin won't haul, so pull the tank off and set it aside before he arrives.
Can a property manager book a yard cleanup for a rental?
Yes. Send Justin the address and how to get into the yard, like a gate code or which side gate is open, and he works from that. Call or text (719) 246-8422.
How soon can Justin come out for a yard pile?
Justin can come out same day, most days. Any hour works to call, since he's open 24/7, and you get a two-hour arrival window. Tell him where the pile sits, like behind the back fence or down the side yard, so he knows the way in.
