Single item pickup in Colorado Springs
One heavy piece carried out from where it sits, anywhere in Colorado Springs and nearby.
Single item pickup in Colorado Springs is for the one piece that has to go. Think of the old couch in the den or the dead fridge in the garage. Justin runs Junkernaut Junk Removal across Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region, and he does every single item pickup himself, from the phone call to the carry out. Call or text (719) 246-8422. This job is built around one piece. It's the recliner nobody sits in anymore or the washer that quit last week, plus a few small things if you've got them, and he carries it out from wherever it sits.
Homeowners call when a new mattress showed up and the old one is leaning in the hallway, or the new fridge is in and the old one is still in the garage. Property managers call too, when a tenant left one piece behind in a unit. If it's a whole room of furniture, that's a furniture removal job. For one piece, this is the job to book.
Justin prices every job himself and answers his own phone, so the person who quotes the couch is the person who carries it. He works out of Colorado Springs and drives to Monument, Fountain and the rest of the towns he covers around the Pikes Peak region. Falcon, Peyton, Security-Widefield and Manitou Springs are on his list too, along with Cimarron Hills. The quote is free, whether the piece is a sleeper sofa in a Monument basement or a dryer in a Fountain garage.

What usually goes on a single item pickup
The piece is almost always big, heavy or awkward, which is why it's still in the house. This job is one couch, one appliance or one mattress, picked up and hauled off. A sleeper sofa with the steel frame inside. A queen mattress and its box spring. A chest freezer in the basement that hasn't run in years. A dresser that won't fit in anyone's car. Most of these pieces are too heavy for one person and too big for a hatchback, and that's what this job is for.
That sets it apart from a clean out. There's no sorting through a garage or a whole house. Justin shows up for the one thing, and if you've got a few small items sitting near it, like a lamp or a bag of old bedding, they can ride along. A lone mattress counts here too, though if there are several beds going, that's mattress disposal.
What one couch or one fridge costs to haul off
The $225 minimum covers a small piece of furniture or an appliance plus 5 or 6 small items. A bigger piece, like a sectional, takes more room on the truck, and the price is set by that room. Justin gives one number for the job, and it stays that number once the piece is loaded.
Loading, hauling and disposal are inside that number, and dump fees are never billed separately. Three add-ons can apply here. A mattress or box spring is +$40 each, anything with freon is +$40 each, which covers an old fridge, freezer or window AC, and a tire is +$10 each. He takes cash, credit or debit card, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay, Google Pay or check.
Where the old couch or fridge ends up
Justin looks at donation first. A couch with no rips or a dresser with every drawer still working can go to Arc, Goodwill or Habitat for Humanity. Donation depends on the piece being in shape to use again, so a stained mattress or a couch the dog chewed won't get there.
Metal goes to a Colorado Springs metal recycler, so a dead washer or a bed frame doesn't just get buried. A flat screen TV gets split out as e-waste. Whatever is plain trash, like a mattress too far gone to give away, goes to East Landfill or Midway Landfill, or through the El Paso County transfer station. With one piece on the truck, it's one decision about where it goes.
How Justin gets one heavy piece out of the house
Nothing has to be at the curb. Leave the couch in the den and the fridge in the basement. Justin carries it out from where it sits, down the stairs and through the door, and loads it on the Ford F-150. You don't have to drag a mattress down the hall or ask a neighbor for help. If the piece is upstairs, say so when you book. It still comes out the same way.
Booking works the same whether you own the place or manage it. Tell Justin what the piece is and where it sits, and he gives you a price. He's open 24/7, it's same day, most days, and you get a two-hour arrival window. A property manager with one fridge left in a vacant unit can set it up by text and tell him which unit it's in.
What Justin leaves behind on a single item call
Even on a one-piece job, a few things stay behind. Justin won't take propane tanks, asbestos, medical or biohazard waste, or fuel.
It matters most when something is attached to the piece. The old gas grill on the patio can go, but the propane tank hanging under it stays. The same goes for fuel left in an old lawn mower or tiller. Tires aren't on that list, and one can ride along with the piece for +$10 each. If you aren't sure about an item, say what it is when you call or text, and Justin will tell you whether it can go.
How the price works
Call or text (719) 246-8422. Justin looks at how much room it takes on the truck and gives you one number for the whole job. The number doesn't change once it's loaded. Jobs start at $225. The only add-ons: tire +$10, anything with freon +$40, mattress or box spring +$40. More on how pricing works.

He loads it and makes the stops
You don't lift a thing. Appliances and mattresses go to recycling centers, anything that can be reused goes to a donation center and you get the receipt for your taxes, and the landfill or transfer station is the last stop.
