Justin handles office clean out jobs in Colorado Springs and the rest of the Pikes Peak region, and he does the loading and hauling himself. Call or text (719) 246-8422 to book. An office job is its own kind of pile. It is rows of desks, rolling chairs, metal filing cabinets, bookshelves and the old printers and monitors that piled up in a back room. The point is a bare suite the landlord can show to the next tenant, so the work runs room by room until the carpet is clear.

The calls come from office managers closing a branch, small business owners downsizing to a smaller space, and property managers who inherited whatever the last tenant left behind. A home office counts too, when the desk and the file boxes finally have to go. Justin carries everything out from where it sits, so nobody on staff has to drag a cabinet down the hall first. Retail spaces and other business moves fall under commercial clean out, the broader version of this job.

Justin is open 24/7, which helps when the business next door is still running or the staff works right up to move day. The clean out can be set for an evening or a weekend after the last employee heads home, with a two-hour arrival window. If the staff has already moved out, he can come out same day, most days. Offices in Monument, Fountain, Falcon and the rest of the towns Justin serves around Colorado Springs get the same job.

What fills an office clean out

Once the staff has moved out, an office leaves a pretty predictable pile. Big L-shaped desks, stacks of rolling chairs with tired casters, and four-drawer filing cabinets that weigh a lot more than they look. Conference tables, whiteboards, bookshelves and cubicle panels come next, then the breakroom fridge. Somewhere there is a back closet full of dead printers, old monitors and cords nobody can match to anything. Most of it is heavy and built to stay put.

The difference from a house job is how much goes. A garage job usually means sorting out what the family keeps. An office clean out is most often the whole suite, wall to wall, because the space is going back to the landlord or over to the next tenant. Justin plans the job around an empty room at the end, carpet showing in every corner.

Where office furniture and equipment end up

Donation comes first. Solid desks, chairs and bookshelves head to the Arc, Goodwill or Habitat for Humanity before anything else gets decided, and office furniture built from steel and real wood is the kind worth that first try. Anything broken or stained skips that step. Steel filing cabinets, metal shelving and chair bases that cannot be donated go to a Colorado Springs metal recycler instead.

The electronics get their own pile. Monitors, computer towers, printers and the flat screen TV from the conference room are split out as e-waste and kept apart from the rest of the load, the same way Justin handles a TV and electronics removal job. What is left after that is plain trash, like cracked chair mats and junk drawer leftovers, and it goes to East Landfill, Midway Landfill or the El Paso County transfer station.

How Justin works through an office building

It starts with a walk through the space with whoever has the keys, usually the office manager or the property manager. That walk is where Justin sees the stairs, the elevator, the hallway turns and how far the parking spot sits from the door. The estimate is free.

On the day, nothing has to be staged in the lobby. Justin carries each piece out from the room it sits in, down the stairs or into the elevator, and loads it onto the Ford F-150. If the building wants the elevator reserved, or wants the work kept out of the main hallway while other tenants are open, the manager sets that up and Justin works inside those rules. A second-floor suite with no elevator just means more trips on the stairs. Parking close to the door helps, and the manager usually knows where the truck can sit.

What Justin leaves behind in an office

Nearly everything in a normal office can go on the truck, but four things never do. Justin will not take propane tanks, fuel, asbestos, or medical or biohazard waste. In an office setting that might be a propane cylinder from a patio heater in the storage room, a gas can in the maintenance closet, or sharps and supplies left by a practice that saw patients. Those have to be gone before the clean out starts.

If an older building has flooring or ceiling material that may hold asbestos, that material stays where it is. Paper records are the office's call too. Justin does not shred files, so pull anything with client or employee information before he loads the cabinets.

What an office clean out costs

Justin gives one number for the whole office, and it is set by how much room the desks, cabinets and chairs take on the truck. A single desk and chair from a home office sits near the $225 minimum. A full suite of L-shaped desks, conference tables and four-drawer cabinets takes more room, so it costs more. Once it is all loaded, that number does not change, and loading, hauling and disposal are inside it.

The add-on that usually comes up in an office is the breakroom fridge, or anything else with freon, at +$40 each. The pricing guide for Colorado Springs has more on how jobs are priced. Justin takes cash, check, credit or debit card, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay or Google Pay, so a company card works.

How the price works

Call or text (719) 246-8422. Justin looks at how much room it takes on the truck and gives you one number for the whole job. The number doesn't change once it's loaded. Jobs start at $225. The only add-ons: tire +$10, anything with freon +$40, mattress or box spring +$40. More on how pricing works.

Questions

Questions about office clean out.

How much does an office clean out cost?
Office jobs start at the $225 minimum, and the full price is one number based on how much room the load takes on the truck. Loading, hauling and disposal are included. Anything with freon, like a breakroom fridge, is +$40 each.
Does Justin come out to price the office?
Yes. Office jobs get a free onsite estimate, where Justin walks the space with the manager and sees everything that has to go. Call or text (719) 246-8422.
Does the furniture need to be moved to the lobby first?
No. Justin carries every desk, chair and cabinet out from the room it sits in, so the staff can leave it all where it is.
Can Justin clear an office on an upper floor?
Yes. He carries everything down the stairs or through the elevator himself. If the building has rules for the elevator or the hallways, the manager passes them along and Justin works within them.
Where do old computers and monitors go?
They get split out as e-waste. Towers, monitors, printers and any flat screen TVs are kept apart from the furniture and the trash so they are handled on their own.
Is there anything in an office Justin won't take?
Yes. Propane tanks, fuel, asbestos, and medical or biohazard waste stay behind. Desks, chairs, filing cabinets, electronics and the breakroom fridge all go.
