Justin does furniture removal across Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region. He takes out the big pieces a home or office is done with and hauls them away. Call or text (719) 246-8422 for a price. Homeowners call when a new couch is on the way. Property managers call when a tenant leaves a bed and a dresser behind. Furniture is heavy and it comes in awkward shapes. A sleeper sofa hides a steel frame inside. Justin lifts those pieces out of the room, so nobody has to drag a couch to the curb first.

A furniture call is usually a short list of heavy things. It might be the recliner that finally gave out, or the bunk beds the kids outgrew. For a manager, it might be an office desk that has to leave before the new one arrives. When the list grows into every room of the house, the job turns into a residential clean out, and Justin prices that the same way. One piece still counts as a job at the $225 minimum.

Justin started Junkernaut Junk Removal in 2026 and runs it himself, so the man who prices the couch is the one who carries it. A sectional in a Monument basement or a dresser left in a Fountain rental gets the same carry-out. Justin also covers Colorado Springs, Falcon, Peyton, Security-Widefield and Manitou Springs, and the list of every town he drives to shows the rest of the region.

What goes out on a furniture job

The pile on a furniture call is mostly upholstered pieces and wood case goods. Sectionals and recliners come out of living rooms. Bedrooms give up dressers, nightstands and the headboard. In offices it is mostly desks and filing cabinets. Outside, a patio set or a picnic table can ride along. Recliners with power motors and lift chairs come out the same way.

Who calls changes the job a little. A homeowner usually wants one room cleared before a delivery or a move. A property manager may need a unit emptied between tenants, with a bed and a couch left behind. A small business may be swapping out office furniture. Sometimes it is an estate, and the family wants the heavy pieces gone first. Justin looks at where each piece sits and how it has to come out, then gives one number for the load.

Where the old couch and dresser end up

Furniture in usable shape goes to donation first. The Arc, Goodwill and Habitat for Humanity get the couches and tables that still have years left in them. A solid wood dresser or a clean dining set is the kind of piece he sets aside for donation.

Metal gets pulled out. Steel bed frames, metal desks and filing cabinets go to a Colorado Springs metal recycler. Metal hardware off a broken frame goes the same way.

What is left is real trash. A recliner with the fabric split open, or a particleboard bookshelf that fell apart on moving day, ends up at East Landfill, Midway Landfill or the El Paso County transfer station. Upholstered pieces with stains or broken springs usually land there.

How Justin gets a sectional down the stairs

The furniture can stay right where it is. Justin carries each piece out himself. That can be a basement den or a second-floor bedroom. He walks the path out before the first lift, from the room to the door.

Big pieces get looked at before they get lifted. A sleeper sofa is heavier than it looks because of the steel frame inside. A sectional often comes apart at the joints, and a bed frame breaks down into rails and a headboard. Glass tabletops and mirrors come off and ride flat. Taking a piece apart where it sits is often easier on a narrow stairwell than forcing it through whole.

For a rental or an office, a manager can call or text to book the job and gets a two-hour arrival window. The rails, the headboard and the sectional pieces go on the Ford F-150, and the room is empty when he drives off.

What furniture removal costs

Justin gives one number for the whole job. It is set by how much room the furniture takes in the trailer, so a single armchair and a full bedroom set land at different prices. The minimum is $225. Once the load is on, the number does not change.

Loading, hauling and disposal are all inside that price. Dump fees are never billed on top. For a furniture load, the add-ons that can come up are a mattress or box spring, +$40 each, and anything with freon, +$40 each, like a mini fridge sitting next to the couch in the basement. Tires are +$10 each, the last add-on on his list.

Furniture loads get paid by check, Zelle, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App, a credit or debit card, or cash. The pricing guide shows how a loveseat and a full bedroom set take different room in the trailer.

What stays behind on a furniture pickup

Furniture jobs turn up surprises in the back of a closet or under a patio table. Justin will not take propane tanks, so the tank from the grill beside the patio set stays put. A propane tank screwed onto a patio heater counts too. Fuel stays as well, including a gas can tucked behind the outdoor furniture. He also turns down asbestos and any medical or biohazard waste.

If a dresser drawer or a storage bench has something like that inside, point it out when you call. Hazardous waste stays where it is, and the furniture still goes. The rundown of what Justin hauls and what he leaves answers the odd item out.

How the price works

Call or text (719) 246-8422. Justin looks at how much room it takes on the truck and gives you one number for the whole job. The number doesn't change once it's loaded. Jobs start at $225. The only add-ons: tire +$10, anything with freon +$40, mattress or box spring +$40. More on how pricing works.

Questions

Questions about furniture removal.

How much does furniture removal cost in Colorado Springs?
The minimum is $225, and the price is one number set by how much room the furniture takes in the trailer. That number covers the carry-out, the haul and the disposal. Anything with freon is +$40 each, a mattress or box spring is +$40 each, and tires are +$10 each.
Does the couch need to be outside before Justin gets there?
No. He'll lift the couch right where it is, even down in the basement or up in a second-floor bedroom. Call or text (719) 246-8422 and tell him where the pieces are.
Is furniture donation pickup part of the job?
Yes. Furniture still in usable shape is set aside for donation as part of the same pickup. A usable dresser or table heads to Habitat for Humanity, Goodwill or the Arc first. Steel frames and metal desks go to a metal recycler in Colorado Springs, and pieces past saving end up at East Landfill or Midway Landfill.
Can a property manager book a pickup for a vacant unit?
Yes. A manager can call or text and say what was left in the unit. Each visit gets a two-hour arrival window.
Can Justin come the same day?
Most days, yes. Pickup is same day, most days, and every visit comes with a two-hour arrival window.
Will Justin take a sleeper sofa or a recliner with a motor?
Yes. Both go on the truck like any other piece of furniture, and the price still comes down to how much room they take.
