Justin does garage clean out work across Colorado Springs and the whole Pikes Peak region, and he loads every piece himself. Call or text (719) 246-8422 for a price on the garage. This job is the full garage, back wall to door, and that's what sets it apart from a single pickup. The pile is mixed. Boxes from the last move sit next to a dead chest freezer, a stack of old tires, a bent bike and shelving that's coming apart at the screws. Justin works through all of it, including the corner nobody has reached in years.

Homeowners call when the car hasn't fit inside for a few winters, or when the house is going on the market and the garage is the last room left. Property managers call after a tenant moves out and leaves a garage full of stuff behind. Landlords handling a rental on their own call for the same reason. It also comes up when an estate is being settled and the garage is the one room nobody has touched. If the clutter keeps going downstairs, the basement clean out page covers that side of the house.

A garage holds things most other rooms don't. It holds metal, old appliances, tires and the odd can of something nobody wants to touch. Tires and that dead freezer each add to the price, bent shelving heads to a metal recycler in town, and the gas can by the mower stays where it is. Justin quotes the garage himself and carries the freezer out himself.

What's usually in a garage clean out

Most garages end up holding what didn't fit anywhere else in the house. A garage clean out usually means metal shelving, a workbench, broken lawn chairs, a mower that quit, exercise gear, kids' bikes, scrap lumber, carpet scraps and boxes taped shut years ago. Plenty of garages also hold a second fridge or a chest freezer that hasn't run in a while. Some garages are half workshop. Old cabinets, a table saw that stopped running and coffee cans of loose hardware all come out with the rest.

That mix is what separates this job from a furniture or mattress pickup. One garage can hold donation items, scrap metal, electronics and plain trash in the same pile. Justin sorts as he loads so each piece heads where it belongs. For the odd item, like a dead dehumidifier or a rowing machine, check the rundown of what Justin will load.

How Justin clears a full garage

Leave the pile where it is. Justin hauls it out of the garage himself, including whatever's stashed in the loft over the door. Everything he carries out goes onto his Ford F-150. He's open 24/7, so a garage can get cleared after work or on a weekend. He can be there same day, most days, and he gives a two-hour arrival window.

Rentals work a little differently. When a property manager calls, Justin goes by what the manager says leaves and what stays, so the tenant's leftovers go and the owner's ladder doesn't. Justin answers the phone himself, so the details you give on the call reach the guy doing the loading. Keeping a few things yourself is easy. Set them aside or point them out when he gets there.

What a garage clean out costs

The minimum is $225. Above it, the garage gets a single price based on the space its contents fill in the trailer. A half-empty garage and a packed one get priced the same way, just with a different number. That price already covers the loading, the hauling and the disposal, so no separate dump fee shows up. Once it's loaded, the number doesn't change.

Three add-ons can come up in garages. Tires are +$10 each. Anything with freon, like the old garage fridge or a chest freezer, is +$40 each. An old mattress or box spring stored out there is +$40 each too, and Justin lists no other add-ons. Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, Google Pay and Apple Pay all work, and so do cash, checks and credit or debit cards. The Colorado Springs junk removal cost guide explains how load size sets the price.

Where the garage pile ends up

Donation comes first. Tools that still work, rideable bikes, sturdy shelving and boxed household goods get dropped at Habitat for Humanity, Goodwill and the Arc. Coolers, ladders and yard tools in working shape can get a second home that way. Garages run heavy on metal, so bent shelving, bed frames, a grill without its tank and broken mower decks go to a Colorado Springs metal recycler. An old flat screen TV or a box of dead electronics from the workbench can go on the truck too.

Old bricks and busted concrete left over from a patio project head to a recycling center to be recycled. The true junk at the bottom of the pile ends up at Midway Landfill, East Landfill or the El Paso County transfer station. Justin covers Colorado Springs and the towns around it, and the list of towns he hauls from shows the whole Pikes Peak region.

What stays in the garage

A few things Justin won't haul, and garages are where they hide. Propane tanks are out, including the small grill tank under the workbench. Once the tank is off, the grill itself can go. Fuel is out too, so the gas can by the mower stays behind. He also won't take asbestos or medical or biohazard waste.

Hazardous waste is refused on every job. If the garage holds anything like that, move it away from the rest of the pile and show Justin where it sits so he can load around it. Most of what's left, from the rusted rake to the couch that got demoted out of the living room, can go in the trailer. Call or text (719) 246-8422 with a rundown of the garage.

How the price works

Call or text (719) 246-8422. Justin looks at how much room it takes on the truck and gives you one number for the whole job. The number doesn't change once it's loaded. Jobs start at $225. The only add-ons: tire +$10, anything with freon +$40, mattress or box spring +$40. More on how pricing works.

Questions

Questions about garage clean out.

How much does a garage clean out cost?
$225 is the minimum, and the full garage gets one number set by how much room it takes in the trailer. Tires add +$10 each, and anything with freon, like a garage fridge or freezer, adds +$40 each. Loading, hauling and disposal are inside the number.
Do I need to move everything to the driveway first?
No. Leave it all in place. Justin loads straight from the back shelves and the loft over the door.
Will Justin take the old fridge in my garage?
Yes. A fridge or freezer counts as anything with freon, so it adds +$40 each to the price.
Can Justin take the gas cans and propane tanks?
No. Justin leaves gas cans and propane tanks behind, and he turns down asbestos and medical or biohazard waste too. Set them apart from the pile so he can load around them.
Can a property manager book a garage clean out for a rental?
Yes. Justin goes by what the manager says leaves and what stays. Call or text (719) 246-8422.
Does any of the garage stuff get donated?
Yes. Anything still good gets offered to Habitat for Humanity, Goodwill or the Arc before anything else. Scrap metal heads to a metal recycler in Colorado Springs, and only the true trash lands at Midway Landfill or East Landfill.
