Justin handles tire removal in Colorado Springs and across the Pikes Peak region. He picks up old car and truck tires from the garage, the shed or the side yard and hauls them off. Call or text (719) 246-8422 to get a price. Tires are one of two items on his list priced by the piece: $10 each, added to the load price. That makes this a different call from a plain pickup. Four bald tires leaning on the shed wall can ride along with the rest of the pile in the same trip.

Most tire piles grow slowly. A set comes off when new ones go on, the old ones go in the corner of the garage, and a few years later there are a dozen of them stacked behind the mower. Sometimes it's a pickup owner who swapped his own tires for years and kept every old set. Other times it's a rental where the last tenant left a stack by the fence and the manager needs the side yard clear. Either way, Justin carries them out from where they sit.

Justin runs Junkernaut Junk Removal himself, so the person who counts your tires on the phone is the person who carries them out. He picks up tire stacks in Colorado Springs, Monument, Falcon, Fountain and every other town on the list of places he hauls from, same day, most days. He's open 24/7, with a two-hour arrival window.

The full list of what goes on the truck, and what doesn't.

What ends up in a tire pile

A tire job is rarely just tires. The old set from the pickup sits next to a spare that never went on, a couple of bald ones from the car before that, and a stack someone meant to take in years ago. Car tires and truck tires both go. So does whatever is crowding them, like the broken shelving and the boxes nobody opened since the move.

Homeowners call when the garage won't hold a car anymore or the side yard has to look clean before a sale. Managers call when a unit turns over and the last tenant left tires behind the shed. The job runs the same either way. Justin counts the tires, adds the rest of the pile and prices it all as one load. If the whole space needs emptying, his garage clean out work is built for that kind of day.

What tire removal costs

Every job starts at the $225 minimum. Past that, the load price is one number for the whole job, set by how much room the pile takes on the truck. Loading, hauling and disposal are inside it. Dump fees are never billed separately, and once the load is on, the number does not change.

Tires sit on top of the load price at +$10 each. Six tires means six of those, on top of whatever the rest of the pile comes to. If a fridge or freezer is going in the same trip, anything with freon is +$40 each. A mattress or box spring is +$40 each. Those are the only add-ons Justin lists. The junk removal cost guide walks through how the load price is set. He takes cash, credit or debit card, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay, Google Pay or a check.

How Justin gets tires out of a packed garage

Tires are awkward to carry. They roll off a stack and leave black marks on whatever they lean against. Justin carries them out from where they sit, whether that's the back wall of the garage or the strip of side yard along the fence. Leave the stack where it is, even if it's wedged behind the mower. If the tires sit on a high shelf in the garage, Justin brings them down himself.

A shed works the same way. Justin carries each tire out the shed door to the Ford F-150, then goes back for the shelving and boxes that were stacked around them. Nothing gets dragged to the driveway first, and you don't need to be the one lifting.

He loads the rest of the pile around the tires so the space on the truck gets used well, since the price follows that space. For a rental, Justin can work with the property manager on the pickup. Call or text (719) 246-8422.

Where the tires and the rest of the load go

Justin sorts the load after it leaves your garage. The tires ride out on the same truck as everything else, so one trip clears the whole corner. From the rest of the pile, anything still usable goes to donation first, to Arc, Goodwill or Habitat for Humanity. A rusted toolbox or a bent metal shelf goes to a Colorado Springs metal recycler. If the stack sat on a few loose bricks, those can go too, and concrete and brick go to a recycling center. Real trash goes to East Landfill or Midway Landfill, or through the El Paso County transfer station.

A flat screen TV or old electronics found behind the tires get split out as e-waste. If that's most of what's in the garage, TV and electronics removal covers that kind of pickup on its own.

What stays behind on a tire pickup

Garages that hold old tires tend to hold a few things Justin won't take. Propane tanks are the common one, usually a grill tank tucked behind the stack. Gas cans and anything else holding fuel stay behind too. Asbestos stays, and so does any medical or biohazard waste. Hazardous waste is refused.

Pull those aside before the pickup, and he'll load around them. Everything else in the pile still goes on the truck. If you're unsure about one item, ask about it when you call for the price, and Justin will tell you straight whether it goes on the truck.

How the price works

Call or text (719) 246-8422. Justin looks at how much room it takes on the truck and gives you one number for the whole job. The number doesn't change once it's loaded. Jobs start at $225. The only add-ons: tire +$10, anything with freon +$40, mattress or box spring +$40. More on how pricing works.
