Rated 5 out of 5 on Google · 34 reviews

Justin takes down old swing sets and playsets in Colorado Springs and across the Pikes Peak region. Call or text (719) 246-8422 for a free quote after an onsite look. The set is usually still standing in the backyard when he gets there. He unbolts it, lowers the pieces and loads everything on his truck. Wood towers, metal A-frames, slides and swings all go.

The kids grew up and the set stayed. The wood has gone gray and soft. The metal is rusty and the chains squeak. Or the set came with the house and nobody wants it. Nothing has to be moved first. He works from where the set stands, whether that is the middle of the lawn or a back corner behind the shed.

If the old fence around that yard is coming out too, Justin also handles fence removal on the same trip. The price is one number for the whole job. He is based in Colorado Springs and takes swing set jobs in Monument, Falcon, Peyton, Fountain and the rest of the towns on his route.

The full list of what goes on the truck, and what doesn't.

What comes down on a swing set job

A wood playset is beams, posts, a platform, a roof and a slide, all held with bolts and screws. A metal set is an A-frame of pipe with a top bar, chains and seats. Many have extras. A climbing wall, a rope ladder, a sandbox frame or a small fort on top. The whole set comes down, then the swings, chains, slide and hardware. Nothing gets left behind in the grass.

How Justin takes a swing set apart

Justin walks the set first and checks how it is put together and how it is anchored. If you know how it was set up, say so on the call. Then he takes it apart in order. The swings and seats come off, then the slide and the climbing parts, then the platform and the frame. A big wood fort comes apart board by board. A metal set unbolts into long pipe sections.

He carries each piece to the truck. Nothing goes to the curb first.

What swing set removal costs

The minimum is $225. Past that, one number covers the whole job, set by how much room the pieces take on the truck. A small metal set takes little room. A big wood fort takes a lot more. The number is set after the onsite look and doesn't change once the set is loaded.

Loading, hauling and disposal are inside the price, and dump fees are never billed separately. A swing set has no add-ons. Justin takes cash, a credit or debit card, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay, Google Pay or a check. Call or text (719) 246-8422.

Where the old swing set ends up

A set still in good shape is offered for donation first. Metal, like pipe, chains and brackets, goes to a Colorado Springs metal recycler. Rotten wood and broken plastic are trash, and that goes to East Landfill or Midway Landfill, or through the El Paso County transfer station. Justin decides where each part goes, so nothing needs to be sorted ahead of time.

What stays off the truck

Backyards hold other things near a swing set. A propane tank by the grill and a gas can by the shed are the usual ones. Justin won't take propane tanks or fuel. He also won't take asbestos or medical or biohazard waste, and any other hazardous waste stays. Move them away from the set before he comes so the teardown keeps moving. Everything that is part of the set goes.

Rentals and managed properties

A property manager can book a swing set removal for a rental. The time is worked out with the manager, and they deal with Justin directly. He is open 24/7 and gives a two-hour arrival window. It can happen same day, most days.

How the price works

Call or text (719) 246-8422. Justin looks at how much room it takes on the truck and gives you one number for the whole job. The number doesn't change once it's loaded. Jobs start at $225.
